TIG WelderOur customer in Rockford, Illinois is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting TIG Welders to work full-time on 1st shift. As a TIG Welder, you will be responsible for laying out, fitting, assembling, and welding stainless steel fuel tanks while maintaining high quality standards and tight tolerances.Responsibilities of the TIG WelderLay out, fit up, and assemble stainless fuel tanks from prints and drawings.TIG weld stainless fuel tanks from start to finish.Work primarily with thin-gauge material where heat control is critical.Control fit-up and distortion to hold tight tolerances on visible assemblies.Produce clean, cosmetic welds on visible surfaces.Perform leak and pressure testing and correct any issues.Work alongside a small, experienced fabrication team.Requirements and Qualifications:Ability to weld stainless steel cleanly and consistently.Strong fit-up, layout, and distortion-control skills.Comfortable reading prints and fabrication drawings.Takes pride in quality workmanship as these tanks go into high-end builds.Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.Must have own welding helmet.All candidates are required to complete a welding test at the time of interview (must bring welding helmet).Pay for TIG Welder: Starting at $20-$25/hour.Benefits:Health insurance.Paid time off.401k with company match.Paid weekly.Direct deposit.Paid training.Type: 1st Shift, Full-time.Schedule: Monday – Friday from 6:00am – 4:00pm.
