Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) nurse position located in a facility that specializes in surgical programs including open heart, orthopedics, robotics, and womens services. The role involves providing comprehensive perioperative care for patients undergoing cardiovascular surgeries, with responsibilities spanning observation, assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications; at least 2 years of current experience in an acute Operating Room setting; proficiency in scrubbing and handling all service lines; able to work rotating weekends if scheduled.
• Typical Procedures Performed on Unit(s): Joint replacement, ENT, orthopedics, spine, urology, vascular, podiatry, thoracic surgery, plastic surgery.
• Additional Information: The RN must be proficient in charting, multi-tasking, critical thinking, and providing excellent bedside manner. The unit is equipped with advanced surgical equipment including Impella, ECMO, bypass pumps, laser (lead extraction), EVH, and rapid transfuser systems.
