Part-Time Accountant Located in Springfield, IL Salary: $28-$35/HR Location: Central Illinois Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week Compensation: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience A growing Central Illinois organization is seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Accountant to support core accounting functions with an emphasis on fixed assets, depreciation, and general ledger accounting. This position offers a flexible schedule and is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month-end and year-end reporting activities. What We Offer Competitive pay of $28.00 - $35.00 per hour Flexible part-time schedule Approximately 20 hours per week Stable and professional work environment Opportunity to contribute to a collaborative accounting team Key Responsibilities Maintain fixed asset records and related schedules Calculate and record monthly depreciation and amortization entries Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes Support financial reporting and account analysis activities Maintain accurate supporting documentation for accounting transactions Assist with audits and requests for financial information Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred 3+ years of accounting experience preferred Experience with fixed asset accounting, depreciation, and general ledger functions Strong understanding of journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively How to Apply Interested candidates are encouraged to submit a resume outlining relevant accounting experience and qualifications. #J-18808-Ljbffr Stryker Corporation
