About the Position

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a long-term opportunity in Puerto Rico. This position offers a unique combination of elective surgical cases, clinic responsibilities, and call coverage within a well-established healthcare system serving a diverse patient population.

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Open-heart surgery and cardiothoracic procedures
• Inpatient and outpatient consultations
• Emergency Department evaluations as needed
• Post-operative patient management
• Permanent pacemaker implantation (emergency cases)
• Pericardial window and pericardiectomy procedures
• Backup support for interventional cardiology and structural heart procedures

Schedule:

• Onsite clinical and surgical coverage on designated weekdays
• Shared call responsibilities including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Participation in case review and multidisciplinary meetings

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Active unrestricted U.S. medical license
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Minimum of 4 years of recent Cardiothoracic Surgery experience
• Ability to obtain credentialing and privileges
