Industrial Hygienist

About the Position Full‑time industrial hygiene role involving all phases of the industrial hygiene program. Typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm with occasional flexibility for special assessments, emergency responses, or training sessions. Responsibilities Independently plan, conduct, and administer inspections, surveys, and evaluations as part of a comprehensive industrial hygiene program for multiple military activities. Conduct periodic surveys of working conditions to determine the nature and magnitude of hazardous exposure and the effectiveness of existing control measures. Provide consultation and advice to various activities on occupational health problems. Conduct surveys and studies to determine the need for medical surveillance for employees who are routinely exposed to toxic materials, noise, or other physical hazards. Consult with the Industrial Hygiene Service Chief on surveys and studies performed to determine the control measures needed. Requirements Security clearance: Not required. Position sensitivity: Noncritical‑Sensitive (NCS)/Moderate Risk. Grade: 12. Education: If foreign education is used, credentials must be evaluated by a private organization specializing in interpretation of foreign education programs, or equivalence must be demonstrated for U.S. accredited courses.
