Medical Assistant Opportunity

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's medical facility in Bethpage, NY 11714. This is a 3+ month contract assignment (convertible to permanent based on performance) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Specific duties include:

• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by taking vital signs, documenting medical histories, and assisting with medical tests.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date medical records, including recording patient information, test results, and treatment plans.
• Perform routine administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, billing managing patient data.
• Sterilize medical instruments and equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care within a multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and restock as necessary.
• Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Requirements:

• Experience: 1 year of Medical Assistant Experience
• Education: High school graduate or GED equivalent
• Certifications: Current Medical Assistant Certification & BLS certification

Additional Information:

• Location: Bethpage, NY 11714
• Job Type: 3+ months contract to hire
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am 5:00 pm
• Pay Range: $19-$23/hr
