About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its transition into a sustainable, globally visible organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nonprofit, social impact, community organizing, or philanthropic leadership, with a proven track record in strategic planning and fundraising. This role is pivotal in expanding philanthropic partnerships, fundraise, and stewarding a growing network of partners, researchers, practitioners, and community leaders. The Executive Director will be responsible for vision, strategy, and program development, as well as working closely with the Board of Directors to ensure a smooth transition to a sustainable organizational model. Key responsibilities include leading the strategic planning process, translating research insights into organizational strategy, and building an inclusive culture. The successful candidate will also be tasked with strengthening operational systems, leading day-to-day operations, and developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have at least 10 years' of leadership experience and a strong track record in fundraising. The role requires a candidate who is comfortable with operational and financial management, and who has a demonstrated ability to lead through periods of growth and ambiguity. Exceptional communication, networking, and public speaking skills are essential, as is the ability to work intergenerationally and with diverse communities. The ideal candidate will have a learning orientation and be comfortable using a variety of technological platforms. Experience in research-to-practice, evidence translation, and knowledge of the older women field is preferred. The Executive Director will be expected to travel as needed and is a remote position with a strong preference for candidates located near a major airport in the Eastern time zone.
