You'll be working hands-on with large industrial pumps and rotating equipment used in critical water and fluid-handling systems. Your expertise ensures that essential infrastructure operates reliably and safely where it matters most.This is a role for someone who wants responsibility, trust, and work that truly matters.What You'll Be DoingTearing down, inspecting, repairing, and rebuilding industrial pumps and rotating equipmentPerforming hydrostatic and performance testing using test stands and specialized toolsOperating overhead cranes, hoists, rigging, and material-handling equipmentReading and interpreting mechanical drawings, work instructions, and test standardsPrepping, painting, and packaging pumps and components for shipmentSupporting receiving, stocking, and fulfillment of parts and pump ordersMaintaining a clean, safe work environment and following lockout/tagout proceduresWhat We're Looking ForHigh school diploma or equivalent3+ years of experience in: heavy mechanical assembly, industrial maintenance or repair, pump, motor, gearbox, or rotating equipment repairAbility to read mechanical drawings and specificationsExperience using precision tools (micrometers, dial indicators, torque tools, calipers)Comfort working independently in physically demanding environmentsAbility to lift 50+ lbs regularlyBasic computer skills for work orders and test documentationStrong communication, teamwork, and safety focusPreferred:Overhead crane, hoist, or forklift experienceBackground in fabrication, welding, diesel, or industrial equipmentExperience working in tight assembly cells, enclosed spaces, or elevated positionsWhat We Offer$1,000 Sign-On Bonus$24–$32/hour, based on experience20 days PTO to start + paid holidaysDay-one medical, dental, and vision coverageGenerous retirement savings plan with company contributionPaid parental leaveTuition reimbursementCareer progression and skill developmentWellness programs and employee discountsRecognition and reward programsJoin the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
