The primary role of the Logistics Specialist (LS) involves loading and unloading tires for warehouse storage and/or timely customer delivery, including the unloading and staging of products at the customer’s business location. The LS is expected to represent TireHub professionally in all customer interaction and maintain safe driving practices, all while delivering exceptional customer service and fostering strong customer relationships. Compensation and Schedule Starting wage: $19.50 per hour with guaranteed increases of $2.00 over the first year of employment. Schedule: Monday through Saturday – fluctuating day shift hours. Roles and Responsibilities Distribution of tasks including general warehousing, delivery services, and vehicle maintenance (adjustments to these allocations may be made as business needs evolve). Loads, unloads, inspects, and tallies tires to and from transport vehicles (trailer trucks/box trucks/delivery vans). Follows TireHub safety standards when selecting, packing, counting, labeling, and palletizing customer orders; positions them in designated locations using the bin locator system. Operates equipment such as forklifts, order pickers and pallet jacks, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Conducts cycle counts, tallies, and labeling as part of inventory control procedures. Collects payments from customers on Cash on Delivery (COD) transactions. Ensures vehicles remain clean and in good mechanical condition. Conducts pre/post-trip vehicle inspections daily and reports any issues to the supervisor. Completes driver and vehicle maintenance logs regularly. Ensures compliance with TireHub policies and procedures. Participates in ongoing training through in-class, in-person, or computer-based modules. Qualifications At least 1 year of general work experience. Must have a valid driver’s license. Minimum of 2 years of driving history with a valid driver's license (does not include driver’s permit). Must be 19 years old or older. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent communication and customer service skills. Repeatedly lift, pull, push and/or move tires (up to 50 lbs) with or without mechanical assistance. Capable of frequent bending, twisting and lifting. Multitask in a fast-paced environment. Load, unload and place tires in warehouse and delivery vehicles efficiently. Work up to 35 feet above ground level. Work up to 8 hours per day on a forklift. Follow traffic rules and safely drive TireHub vehicles to deliver tires to customer locations. Work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with Manifest, GPS and navigation systems. Must maintain forklift certification and a valid driver’s license. Working Conditions Required to lift, pull, push, and/or move tires (up to 50 lbs or greater) with or without mechanical assistance; regular standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crawling, climbing and balancing. Potential exposure to hazardous materials and use of protective equipment as required. Specific vision requirements (near/far/color/peripheral/depth perception). Work in non-climate-controlled warehouses and at customer locations. Extended days, evenings, and weekend work may be required with little to no notice. Driving at night or in inclement weather may be required. physical suitability requirements: not exceeding 400 pounds in weight or 6 feet 3 inches in height to meet equipment/safety constraints; accommodations considered per ADA and applicable laws.
