Robert Half is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Full-Time Engagement Professionals practice. This is a permanent, full-time, onsite role where you will represent Robert Half as an employee, working onsite with clients on exciting accounting projects

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger

Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies

Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed

Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management

Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities

Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls

Support audit requests and prepare necessary documentation

Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency

• At least 2 years of accounting experience in a staff accountant or similar role.
• Hands-on experience preparing journal entries and working within a general ledger environment.
• Knowledge of corporate tax principles, including corporate tax return support activities.
• Familiarity with sales tax processes and related accounting considerations.
• Ability to perform account reconciliations, analyze financial data, and identify inconsistencies.
• Working knowledge of month-end close procedures and financial reporting support.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
