Engineering Project Manager – Capital Projects Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to lead capital equipment and manufacturing projects in a fast-paced, highly regulated manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for managing projects from initiation through implementation while partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of project objectives related to safety, quality, schedule, and budget. The ideal candidate is a strong relationship builder with experience leading engineering or manufacturing projects, coordinating diverse stakeholders, and driving projects to successful completion. Key Responsibilities Lead capital equipment and manufacturing projects through all phases of the project lifecycle. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and project documentation. Coordinate activities across Engineering, Operations, Quality, Facilities, Supply Chain, and external vendors. Facilitate project meetings, track action items, and communicate project status to stakeholders and leadership. Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project execution. Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables while maintaining alignment with business objectives. Support equipment installation, commissioning, qualification, and production readiness activities. Drive issue resolution and promote collaboration across cross-functional teams. Monitor project performance and recommend process improvements to enhance project execution. Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment. At least 2–3 years of project management experience leading engineering or capital projects. Proven experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communications. Strong ability to build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Experience working with external vendors and equipment suppliers. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications PMP Certification. Experience in medical device or other regulated manufacturing industries. Experience with capital equipment installation and implementation. Familiarity with FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ/PQ, Equipment Qualification (EQ), or Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT/FAI). Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
