Senior Assistant City Attorney

The City of Tampa is seeking a licensed Florida attorney to join the City Attorney's Office Land Use & Real Estate Practice Group as a Senior Assistant City Attorney. This position requires a minimum of twelve (12) years’ experience in land use, planning, zoning and administrative law, as well as familiarity with Florida laws regarding public records and open meetings. Responsibilities include drafting of and advocating for land development code regulations and comprehensive plan amendments, representing the city in quasi-judicial and legislative meetings, researching and drafting legal opinions, consulting with departments on legal issues, and mentoring less experienced assistant city attorneys. A successful candidate must be self-motivated, solution-oriented, able to work independently, and proficient in Word/Excel. Recent writing samples must be provided. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cities, Inc.
