Registered Dietitian

We are seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian for a contract opportunity. The Registered Dietitian will assess patients' nutritional status, develop individualized nutrition care plans, provide nutrition education, and collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes. Recent inpatient hospital experience is required. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nutrition screenings and assessments to determine patients' nutritional needs. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans. Educate patients and families on therapeutic diets, nutrition management, and food-drug interactions. Interpret laboratory, physical, and clinical data to support nutrition interventions. Consult with physicians and healthcare teams regarding diet modifications and nutrition support. Document nutrition assessments, patient education, and diet recommendations accurately. Modify patient menus based on medical conditions and nutritional requirements. Participate in follow-up care while ensuring compliance with clinical and regulatory standards. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Foods and Nutrition, or a related accredited program. Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient hospital experience (3+ years preferred). Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). Strong knowledge of nutritional assessment, malnutrition diagnosis, and therapeutic diet planning. Experience interpreting laboratory and clinical data for nutrition care. Experience providing nutrition education and counseling. Excellent communication, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills. Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
