Registrar Services Specialist

Oakland Community College

Provides support and assists in all aspects of the student enrollment process, performing clerical duties in International Student Services and the Registrar’s Office. The employee is expected to work as a team player in a multi‑cultural, diverse working environment. Responsibilities This description is intended to indicate the types of duties and responsibilities requested of the employee assigned this title. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all the duties and responsibilities that may be required: Understand and utilize the Student Information System (SIS), Customer Relationship Management systems (CRM), and the College website, as appropriate. Seek information within the College to answer questions. Address incoming calls and emails from students (prospective, current, and former), other college departments and from the community. Process, record, and maintain student records and files; system data, and documentation to identify and resolve issues relating to student records utilizing the current Document Management System. Assist Registrar in reviewing change‑of‑grade forms for completeness and accuracy; process approved grade changes in the Student Information Systems (SIS). Review and evaluate college transcripts for transferable credit; proofread, review accuracy of transferred credits, and record evaluations for inclusion in student files; evaluate transcripts for completion of graduation requirements. Verify student enrollments and loan deferments, answer subpoenas, and process appropriate paperwork (such as transcript requests, tuition verifications, etc.). Handle various correspondence and assist in preparing mailings (i.e., stuffing envelopes, applying labels to envelopes/college publications, etc.). Assist Student Services departments in the collection of information. Assist in college campaigns related to enrollment and retention. Operate office equipment. Train and direct college student personnel with appropriate approval. Perform related tasks, as assigned. Ability to work additional hours, as needed. Education Associate’s degree or higher in any discipline. — OR — Successful completion of a minimum of 24 college credit hours in Administrative Support Technology (AST), Business Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or Business Administration (BUS 1100, BUS 2030, BUS 2530, MKT 2520, ACC 1800, ACC 1810, ACC 1820 and CIS 1050). #J-18808-Ljbffr
