Job DescriptionAs a Security Guard Transit in Brooklyn, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to concerns. DayTimeWed10:00 PM - 06:00 AMThur10:00 PM - 06:00 AMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to transit passengers, employees, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, stations, adjacent areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and unauthorized access.
- Monitor assigned areas for suspicious behavior, unattended property, and policy violations, and report observations through established communication channels.
- Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, requesting additional assistance when needed.
- Assist with access control, crowd management, and direction-giving for passengers and visitors while maintaining a professional presence.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
