St. Mary's Healthcare has also been named a 2026 Times Union Top Workplace—the first acute care hospital in the Capital Region to earn the distinction since the Times Union launched the recognition program 14 years ago.Employment Type: Full-TimeShift: DaysHours Per Week: 32 Hours/weekHiring Range: $25.48- $33.12Below are the shift differentials based on eligible shifts worked:Weekday evening shift - additional 10%Weekday night shift - additional 15%Weekend day shift - additional 10%Weekend evening & night shifts - additional 21%The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.Responsibilities:Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by a Registered Nurse (RN).Administers medications and observes patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments.Performs routine laboratory tests and simple therapeutic services.Educates patients/families about disease treatment plan including self-care post discharge, holistic health needs, available resources and follow up care.Assures resident safety by identifying safety hazards and emergency situations and initiates corrective action as appropriate.Complexity of Work:Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.Personal Protective Equipment:Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Licensure / Certification / Registration:Required Credential(s): BLS Provider obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the New York Board of Nursing.
