Principal System Administrator – Tewksbury, MA (Onsite) • U.S. citizenship required • Active secret security clearance required by day 1 What You Will Do: Design, implement, maintain, patch, and troubleshoot Windows Server, Windows 11, RHEL 7/8/9, and virtualized infrastructure in a 24×7×365 mission‑critical environment. Lead Windows and Linux patching, vulnerability remediation, and compliance activities, including STIG/EVAL STIG implementation, SCAP/ACAS support, log collection, and coordination with Cyber Security teams. Deploy and maintain VMware ESXi & vCenter virtual infrastructure, manage VM lifecycle, perform host upgrades, tune performance, and support critical workloads. Engineer and sustain enterprise imaging, deployment, and automation solutions using MECM/SCCM, PXE, Windows imaging, OS upgrades, and PowerShell scripts. Administer core Windows services: Active Directory, Group Policy, secure system configurations, certificate‑based authentication, and customized user environments. Collaborate across Digital Technology, Engineering, Cyber Security, DevSecOps, Networking, Storage, and Tools teams to resolve complex infrastructure and compliance challenges. Provide planned and emergent support in a fully on‑site DoD closed‑area environment, including occasional after‑hours and up to 10% travel as required. Operate independently, prioritize demands, and execute with minimal oversight in a fast‑paced operational setting. Qualifications You Must Have: Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years of relevant experience. Active and transferable U.S. government secret security clearance. Experience administering and securing Windows and RHEL servers. Experience with VMware virtualization. Experience securing system configurations and hardening systems. Experience with PowerShell scripting. We Prefer: Technical SME or POC for patching, vulnerability remediation, or compliance initiatives. Hands‑on experience with MECM/SCCM, PXE boot services, OS imaging, and automated deployment frameworks. Familiarity with NetApp storage and/or HPC environments. Experience with enterprise Windows services: Active Directory, Group Policy, identity integration. Familiarity with cybersecurity and compliance tooling: ACAS, SCAP, Splunk, STIG Viewer, audit support processes. Experience with DevSecOps environments: Kubernetes, Rancher, artifact repositories. Experience with SQL Server, including clustered configurations. Prior experience supporting DoD, defense, or highly regulated environments. Relocation eligible. What We Offer: Competitive salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD.
