Job Summary:
The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) RN position is based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The role involves providing specialized nursing care in a high-acuity pediatric cardiac ICU setting, including patients with congenital heart conditions, open heart surgeries, and transplants. Candidates are required to bring their valid Registered Nurse (RN) license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Milwaukee, WI
• Schedule: 12-hour nights; 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Wisconsin (WI) or Compact RN license, BLS certification from the American Heart Association, PALS certification from the American Heart Association, 12 to 18 months of independent nursing experience in a high-acuity cardiac Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, including open heart surgery and transplants. Level I Trauma experience highly preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN), ACLS certification from the American Heart Association, experience with Epic electronic medical record system, trauma level experience, teaching hospital experience.
• Additional Information: The position requires use of critical thinking skills and specialized cardiac assessments. Vaccination for influenza is required or willingness to obtain prior to start. The assignment includes every other holiday rotation.
