An individual in this role will be analyzing financial accounts, conducting month-end close processes, and using financial analysis techniques while partnering with operations to drive success. We treat each other as we wish to be treated ourselves.COMPETENCIES REQUIRED• Detail Oriented – Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, quality, and thoroughness in all aspects of work.• Action Oriented – Takes on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.• Optimizes Work Processes – Knows the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement.• Collaborates – Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.• Courage – Steps up to address difficult issues and says what needs to be said.• Situational Adaptability – Adapts approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations.• Customer Focus – Builds strong customer relationships and delivers customer-centric solutions.• Drives Results – Consistently achieves results, even under tough circumstances.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Reconciling multiple asset and liability balance sheet accounts monthly.Reviewing multiple bank reconciliations on a weekly basis.Weekly review of revenue from Square POS system and posting of related journal entries.Accrual calculations and posting of accruals at month end close.Make month end close journal entries for multiple companies, including intercompany postings.Filing of sales tax returns (monthly, quarterly, and annual returns).Entering all new fixed assets into fixed asset system.Reconciling of fixed asset system against the fixed asset general ledger accounts for month end.Reconcile gain or loss on the disposal of assets per fixed asset system to the gain/loss GL account.Post depreciation expenses monthly and reconcile against the depreciation schedule in the fixed asset system.EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONBachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent combination of education and work experience1 - 3 years of experience in an accounting role preferred, but recent graduates with good accounting-related skills would be considered.OTHER QUALIFICATIONS· Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills· Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and GAAP· Ability to organize and prioritize work, perform multiple tasks, meet deadlines, identify and resolve problems and coordinate work efforts with other staff members.· Strong Microsoft Office experience, specifically Microsoft ExcelTRAVEL REQUIREMENTSRarely – on average 5% of travel on a quarterly basisWORK ENVIRONMENTThis job operates in a professional office environment routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, faxes, and filing cabinets.Equal Opportunity Employer Statement:We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
