Maintenance Support Technician 1 (Grave) Caldwell, ID

Summary

This position exists to ensure efficient operation of all industrial mechanical equipment for the facility. This includes mechanical maintenance, lubrication, sanitation, troubleshooting and repair of all equipment from Raw Receiving to Stretch Wrapping and at the Water Recovery Plant. The individual in this position will be required to fully understand the purpose and operation of the industrial mechanical equipment throughout the facility and have the ability to make decisions based on sound judgment when a situation dictates.

Key Responsibilities

General Responsibilities

• MST Steps will be attainable after meeting all criteria set forth in the qualification skills matrix. The matrix outlines the progression and skills needed to advance from Step 1, Step 2, and Step 3.
• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment in their work area(s).
  • a) Maintains all shop inventories, tools and equipment. Creates, performs and completes work orders in the system as assigned or as needed and prepares kitting when necessary.
  • b) Coordinates or schedules additional work as needed.
  • c) Identifies parts needed for work to be done, conducts inventory searches and locates parts.
  • d) Documents, monitors, maintains, and assists with reporting of shift events, logging Predictive Maintenance data and assists with work planning utilizing information systems and productivity software.
• Maintains Company standards for safety, quality, food safety, sanitation and GMPs.
  • a) Works within safety rules and regulations in actively avoiding injury to self and others.
  • b) Ensures proper food safety sanitation and cleaning procedures of all processing equipment and tools.
• Maintains necessary level of communication with team members and other support groups and does so in a participative management style conducive with operational goals.
• May assist with training other plant personnel.
• Ensures that additional accountabilities required by management are handled in a manner necessary to meet operational standards.
• Must be able to Able to perform sound welds in accordance with the qualifications required by applicable welding code, standards, and/or project specifications include wire feed, stick, Heliarc, Oxy-Acetylene and sanitary (food-safe) welds for repair and fabrication required. This must be learned.

Lubrication Technician / Facilities

Ensures that equipment including, but not limited to pumps, motors, hydraulic systems and product transport system are properly lubricated following the specifications of the Company or the manufacturer.

Packaging Maintenance Technician

Troubleshoots and makes minor and major repairs of packaging area equipment in order to prevent or minimize industrial plant downtime.

 

Water Recovery Maintenance Technician

Troubleshoots and makes minor and major repairs of equipment at the Water Recovery Plant in order to prevent or minimize industrial plant downtime.

 

Processing Maintenance Technician

Troubleshoots and makes minor and major repairs of processing and cutting equipment in order to prevent or minimize industrial plant downtime.

Typical Education

Technical/vocational certification (or equivalent)

Relevant Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associates degree or technical certification preferred.
• Two years of industrial or food processing mechanical experience required.
• Able to perform sound welds in accordance with the qualifications required by applicable welding code, standards, and/or project specifications include wire feed, stick, Heliarc, Oxy-Acetylene and sanitary (food-safe) welds for repair and fabrication required.
• Must provide required tools (see tools list).
• Combination of education and experience will be considered.

Tool list required to be aquired by incubment offered role, prior to start.

Shift: Monday - Friday

Pay: $37.00 p/hr + Nights Differential
