Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant Location: Hybrid in Mission Viejo area Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant with a blend of public accounting and private industry experience.Read the overview of this accounting fundamentals and hands-on experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting.Responsibilities: Prepare journal entries and month-end close schedules Reconcile balance sheet accounts and research variances Assist with financial statement preparation and analysis Support internal and external audits Partner with AP and AR teams to ensure accurate accounting Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls Participate in process improvements and special projects Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 4+ years of accounting experience Public accounting experience required (Audit preferred) Mix of public and private accounting experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of U.S.GAAP, debits/credits, reconciliations, and financial statements Experience with month-end close and journal entries Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) ERP experience such as NetSuite, Great Plains, SAP, or similar What We're Looking For: Candidates must have a strong accounting foundation and be able to demonstrate proficiency in debits and credits, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement
