Operations Lead – Bellden Café

Reports directly to the Director of Hospitality and Business Owner.

Bellden Café is a community-centered café in Bellevue built around thoughtful hospitality, strong teamwork, and meaningful connection. We are looking for an experienced Operations Lead who can help lead daily café operations with initiative, awareness, and strong floor presence.

This is not a sit-behind-the-desk management role. We are looking for someone who enjoys being actively involved in service, supporting the team in real time, and helping create a calm, efficient, and welcoming environment during both busy and slower moments.

The ideal candidate naturally notices what needs to be done, takes ownership without being asked, and is comfortable floating across multiple stations throughout the café.

What You’ll Do

• Lead shifts and help maintain strong service flow throughout the café
• Float between bar, guest support, food running, prep support, and operational tasks as needed
• Redirect team members and help prioritize tasks during slower and busier periods
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and hospitality-focused environment
• Support onboarding and real-time coaching of staff during shifts
• Step into operational gaps quickly and proactively
• Communicate closely with the Director of Hospitality regarding team needs and operational improvements
• Help maintain consistency in service standards, urgency, and teamwork
• Support private events, catering preparation, and café operations as needed

What We’re Looking For

• 2–4+ years of leadership experience in hospitality, café, restaurant, or fast-paced service environments
• Strong operational awareness and multitasking ability
• Comfortable leading peers while remaining collaborative and supportive
• Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving instincts
• Flexible and able to adapt quickly throughout service
• Someone who naturally takes initiative and enjoys helping a team succeed
• Passion for hospitality, teamwork, and community-centered work

Compensation

• $22–$26/hour DOE + tips
• Growth opportunities within leadership and operations
