Join us in shaping a new era in space and find a career that's built for you.About the Role: The Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) Subsystems and CoreSim Team is made up of enthusiastic and talented individuals that design and produce the hardware, algorithms, and software required to solve the challenging problems of controlling spacecraft systems in a harsh, zero-g environment. This position will report directly to the GN&C Manager within the GN&C Talent Center organization of Lockheed Martin Space.As an experienced GN&C analyst in this role, you will be tasked with supporting multiple satellite buses including, but not limited to, the LM400 and LM2100 satellite series.What you will be doing:Design, analyze, and optimize GN&C subsystem dynamics and control systems using MATLAB/Simulink.Develop and verify high-fidelity simulation models in MATLAB/Simulink and C++ environments.Support system integration, test, and verification activities to ensure subsystem performance meets program requirements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the program life cycle, from requirements through verification and validation.Contribute to mission operations and post-launch performance assessments, as needed.Successful applicants generally have at least 3+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline, such as Aerospace Engineering or other related field.Basic Qualifications: Skill Requirements:Possess general domain experience in spacecraft controller design and optimization.Experience in developing and verifying performance of simulation models in simulation environments using programming tools that include MATLAB/Simulink, C++Security Clearance / Work Authorization:To meet requirements of the program/customer, this position requires the selected employee to be a U.S. Citizen.Although not required to start, the selected applicant must be eligible to obtain, and maintain, Top Secret with adjudicated SCI Eligibility (i.e. TS/SCI) for long term employment on this programOther Important Information:Expression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday offPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $101,000 - $178,135. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
