Join Vanderbilt Health's Pediatric Audiology team in an entry-level healthcare support role focused on helping children and families during hearing evaluations.

As a Pediatric Audiology Assistant, you'll work directly with Audiologists to assist with patient visits, prepare testing areas, support hearing evaluations, and help create a positive experience for children and their families. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a difference in healthcare without pursuing a licensed clinical position.

What You'll Do

• Assist Audiologists during pediatric hearing evaluations
• Help prepare patients and families for appointments and testing procedures
• Escort patients to and from treatment areas
• Support children during hearing assessments and testing activities
• Set up and organize testing rooms and equipment
• Clean and maintain equipment and clinical spaces according to department standards
• Assist with stocking supplies and preparing rooms for patient visits
• Support daily clinic operations and patient flow
• Provide a welcoming and compassionate experience for patients and families

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work effectively with children and families
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment

Preferred

• Experience working with children in healthcare, childcare, education, camp, recreation, or community settings
• Experience in a healthcare support, customer service, or patient-facing role
• Experience assisting with patient care activities or clinical support services

Training & Support

No prior audiology experience is required. Comprehensive training will be provided for all aspects of the role.
