Sentara is hiring an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Shift: Full-Time (36hrs) - Evenings 11A-11P An ED Tech Assists the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse in implementing plans of care for emergency/minor emergency care patients. Performs patient procedures and treatments under the supervision of the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse. In this role, you are an integral part of the Emergency Department Team. Starting IV's EKG's Point of Care testing Blood Cultures Vital Signs Arrival prioritization Stocking Education: HS Diploma or Equivalent Job Requirements/Certifications: Required: Clinical - Required : EMT-B with state or national certification at time of hire OR Successful completion of US Military Hospital Corps School, qualified MMAC candidates OR. Current students enrolled in a clinical program (e.g., RN, LPN, Respiratory, Physical Therapy).
