Starting wage $23-$28/hour depending on experience.This isn't straight line welding for those just getting started; our world class tanks require skilled welders with the ability to weld-wire feed in multiple positions. Wages based on our 5-point scale as appropriate for your weld test with opportunity to earn more over time.Position RequirementsAbility to weld-wire feed in multiple positionsAbility to use a handheld plasma cutter, handheld grinder, and manual flame cutting torchFit up and assemble productsAbility to utilize bridge cranes to position parts and assemblies during productionExchange empty cylinders of oxygen, shielding gas, and fuel gas for full cylinders using a hand truck/dollyUtilize the following welding processes, Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)/Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW)Ability to flexibly, and reliably, perform craftsman welds in confined spacesAssist other production employees as deemed necessary by managementAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to read and understand engineering drawingsMust be able to perform work to required tolerancesMust have the skill required to pass a welding testCapable of standing, bending, and climbing for long periods of timeCapable of lifting up to forty pounds and pushing/pulling/drag suction hose on to tanks that weigh anywhere from ten to one hundred poundsCapable of working in various weather conditionsCapable of working around high noise levelsCapable of working in high places and in confined spacesHazards:High voltage electrical hazardsHazards associated with high-speed machines, rotating blades, and gearsHazards associated with working on ladders and man liftsWelding fumes, ultraviolet light radiation from both welding and cutting processesOperation of cranes and moving large steel objectsRisk of cuts and abrasions from grinders and edges of steel plate etcRisk of explosion from flame cutting process***All welders are required to wear leather work gloves, hard hats, safety glasses, steel toed boots, and any other protection required for a particular welding task***Expectations:All employees are expected to interact with other members of the organization in a professional and respectful manner, with the goal of producing on-time and high-quality work being the highest priority.
