About the Role

The Company is seeking a Head of Security to take on a pivotal role in building and maturing security within a highly technical engineering environment. This hands-on leadership position is focused on assessing the current security state, defining a practical roadmap, and integrating security into all aspects of product development and operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for benchmarking the security posture, establishing DevSecOps practices, leading secure SDLC adoption, and defining security architecture across various domains. Additionally, the role involves building guardrails for AI-enabled development and supporting SOC 2 readiness and customer trust initiatives. Applicants for the Head of Security role at the company should have a minimum of 8 years' security experience, with a strong background in DevSecOps, security architecture, and implementation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with engineering teams in a technical product environment and be adept at translating security architecture into practical controls. Experience in cloud and infrastructure security, application security, and vulnerability management is essential. The role requires a strategic thinker who can also be hands-on, with excellent communication skills to engage with engineers, executives, and customer-facing stakeholders. Familiarity with security frameworks and experience in AI security or advanced technical R&D environments is a plus.
