Senior Analyst

SCOPEThe Senior Analyst will be an integral member of the FP&A team at a privately held real estate investment firm that specializes in manufactured housing. This position will be instrumental in generating robust metrics by analyzing financial and operating data and by evaluating vertically integrated business units. This position will work closely with senior team members, both to navigate the business and to ensure analytics are applied to drive best practices. The ideal candidate will – beyond technical proficiency – keep sight of the big picture and think critically to add value.RESPONSIBILITIESExtract, clean and analyze large datasets from multiple sourcesDevelop, maintain and optimize detailed financial models (budget templates, variance analysis)Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic planning, investment decisions and operational improvements e.g. defeasance, land development, hold-sellCreate reporting materials, including quarterly reports, ensuring clarity and data accuracyTrack debt financing terms and performance across the portfolioParticipate in ad-hoc projects as required demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to the organization’s objectivesQUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar field; MBA or MA preferred5-10 years of experiencePrevious real estate experience is requiredProficient at financial modeling; fluent with Excel, sensitivity analysis, and pivot tablesAbility to take ownership of multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlinesAdvanced degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and WordPrefer familiarity with integrating AI tools (Chat GPT or similar) into data analysis and modelingExtremely attentive to details and high level of quality controlUtmost level of personal and professional integrityExcellent communication skillsFLSA CLASS: ExemptREPORTS TO: Director – Financial Planning & AnalysisSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: NoneJOB CATEGORY: PortfolioPOSITION CLASS: AdminCOMPETENCIES:Treats everyone with respect, compassion and kindness – Builds internal respect and loyalty with customers.
