Temporary Leadership Training Facilitator

Crime Ed Lab Interns And Temporary StaffThe University of Chicago Crime Lab, in collaboration with the Chicago Police Department (CPD) and the Civic Committee, is developing a one-of-a-kind leadership training for all supervisors at CPD, made possible through a generous gift from the Sue Ling Gin Foundation. Facilitators of the training will have an opportunity to shape the minds of 1,700 supervisors within the department, both sworn and civilian. We are looking for individuals with significant leadership experience in their field, either in law enforcement, or other fields including (but not limited to) government, business, education, and non-profits. We seek seasoned leaders who can translate their experience to foster the leadership development of supervisors at CPD. The training will focus on helping supervisors improve their skills in management and strategic leadership. Facilitators will co-teach sessions for groups of 30 supervisors over an immersive 2-day training. Facilitators will collaborate with leadership experts from CPD, the University of Chicago and a network of fellow facilitators inside and outside the department. This role offers opportunities to mentor future CPD leaders and influence the department's culture and direction.
