Java / Big Data Engineer

We are hiring for a Java / Big Data Engineer position supporting a high-impact market data initiative. This is a long-term hybrid contract opportunity for engineers who enjoy working with large-scale data systems and modern cloud technologies. Location: Hybrid – Rockville, MD or Tysons, VA Duration: Long-Term Contract

Role Overview: This position focuses on building and supporting large-scale data processing systems within the AWS ecosystem. The team is looking for an engineer who can work across development, testing, and validation while leveraging modern AI-assisted engineering practices.

Required Skills:

5+ years of Core Java development experience
Hands-on AWS experience
Big Data / high-volume data processing experience
AWS Iceberg
Aurora
S3 Tables
ECS / Serverless technologies
Testing and validation experience
AI-assisted development or modern engineering tools exposure
