Job Description
Procurement Specialist - Up To $40.87 Per Hour SAVARD Personnel Group is hiring a Procurement Specialist to join a leading oil & gas client in Houston, TX! This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with competitive pay and the potential to transition to a hybrid schedule after successful completion of training. Pay: $31.25-$40.87 per hour (DOE) Location: Houston, TX (77042) Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM (1-hour lunch) Overtime: Not expected Duration: Temp-to-Hire
Job Duties
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for MRO materials and services.
- Execute RFQs and RFPs while evaluating supplier proposals.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and supplier agreements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Analyze procurement data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
- Manage multiple sourcing projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Utilize procurement systems to manage contracts, supplier performance, and purchasing activities.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of procurement or supply chain experience, preferably in the oil & gas industry.
- Experience developing and implementing strategic sourcing strategies for MRO.
- Experience executing RFQs and RFPs.
- Strong contract negotiation experience.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud/EBS, JD Edwards, or Glovia.
- Must be able to work onsite full-time for the first 30-60 days before hybrid eligibility based on performance.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Physical Requirements Prolonged sitting and standing. Ability to work in an office environment. Dress Code Business Casual
