Experience Requirements Minimum of 1 year of collections, accounts receivable, customer service, or debt recovery experience . Proficiency with data entry, typing, and modern office software and computer systems. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills with a professional phone presence. Must reside within commuting distance of Geneseo, NY . Physical Capabilities Ability to sit, use a computer, and communicate by phone for extended periods throughout the workday. Capable of accurately reviewing account information, entering data, and maintaining detailed documentation. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining productivity and accuracy. Job Duties Contact customers regarding delinquent accounts and discuss available repayment solutions. Handle inbound and outbound collections calls while maintaining professionalism, accuracy, and compliance. Perform skip tracing to locate updated contact, employment, or account information. Negotiate payment arrangements and escalate complex collection matters when appropriate. Accurately document all customer interactions, payment commitments, and account activity in company systems. Verify account information for special circumstances, including bankruptcy, disability, and other legal considerations. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and company collection regulations and policies. Support additional administrative and collections-related tasks as assigned.
