Psychologist - Dyslexia Clinic

Job Summary Akron Children's Hospital is seeking a pediatric/child clinical psychologist to join our assessment team in the Division of Pediatric Psychology. The psychologist will be part of a multidisciplinary team focused on Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics and Speech/Language Therapy, expanding dyslexia and learning evaluation services. The primary role involves consultation and evaluation of dyslexia and comorbid conditions, with opportunities to expand focus within additional clinics such as Autism, Anxiety/OCD, and Tic/Tourette. The position offers substantial research, quality improvement, and training opportunities. Responsibilities Consultation and evaluation of dyslexia and related learning conditions. Collaboration with developmental, behavioral, and speech-language teams to provide comprehensive assessment services. Participation in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research projects. Utilization of protected research time, statistical support, and travel funding to present findings at national and international conferences. Teaching and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows in pediatric psychology topics. Contribution to the design and delivery of interprofessional education programs in collaboration with Northeast Ohio Medical University. Qualifications Doctorate in clinical, counseling, or educational psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an APA-accredited program. Completion of an APA-accredited internship, preferably with a child or pediatric emphasis. License eligibility in the State of Ohio. Strong interest in evidence-based pediatric psychology practice.
