• Scheduling: Self-scheduling
• Orientation: 80 hours
• Weekend Coverage: 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week timeframe
• Setting: Level II maternal facility with Level II NICU support

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license required in hand at submission
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience or related obstetric RN experience
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, and AWHONN Beginner
• Experience with fetal monitoring, antepartum care, postpartum care, and cesarean recovery
• Allscripts charting experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Ability to complete required lab items within 72 hours of offer acceptance
• Compliance documents due before start; timely submission is essential

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care for patients in labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum settings
• Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
• Support antepartum monitoring, NSTs, induction/augmentation of labor, and recovery care
• Manage common obstetric medications, IV therapy, and pain management protocols
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the birth experience
• Collaborate closely with the care team to promote excellent outcomes for mothers and newborns
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit standards for patient safety and quality care
