Job Description Summary:

Position Responsibilities

• Directs clinical service activites for the assigned units.
• In collaboration with the Administrative Director, establishes the annual operating goals and objectives for the assigned units based on the Medical Center's needs and challenges. Ensures that the units' efforts are aligned with the Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry and the SVP.
• In collaboration with the Adminstrative Director, develops and monitors operating budgets, adhering to budget and developing mechanisms to maintain cost efficiency.
• In collaboration with the Administrative Director, oversees the recruitment and team development needs.
• Ensures high quality, cost effective health care by enforcing compliance of safety, processes, policies, and procedures.
• Provides analyses and recommendations to SVP in regards to gaps between performance outcomes vs. standards.
• Responsible for maintaining and improving clinical care within the assigned units towards the goal of being rated among the best in the United States.
• Maintains budgetary/fiscal practices within provisions. Periodically monitors budget expenses, identifies variances, and reports as appropriate.
• Collaborates with Administrative Director, in developing strategies and plans to reduce risk of health care associated infections, and patient harm resulting from falls.

Qualifications

• License/Registration/Certification
  
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida is required. BLS/CPI required.
• Education
  
  • Bachelor's Degree, Masters in Health related degree preferred
• Experience
  
  • Two years experience in nursing at management level.
