Senior Internal Communications ManagerCushing Terrell is hiring a Senior Internal Communications Manager to lead how the firm communicates with its people across 17 offices. The role reports to the Chief People Officer and is a senior individual contributor role with firm-wide reach, serving as a trusted advisor to firm leaders on employee communications, culture, and change communications.What does this role involve day to day? Most days blend writing, editing, and advising. You might draft a leadership message or town hall talking points, plan the next phase of communications for a team joining the firm through growth, update intranet content, and meet with the People team on an upcoming announcement. You will partner closely with the Director, External Communications to keep one consistent brand voice, and you will create recruitment marketing content that helps the Talent Acquisition team reach strong candidates.What will I create, and what does success look like in year one? You will build the firm's internal editorial calendar, messaging standards, and communication playbooks that guide new teams from first announcement through their first 100 days. In your first year, success means a working editorial calendar aligned with firm priorities, a repeatable playbook for firm growth and integration, and clear metrics showing how internal communications reach and engage employees.The expected salary range for this position is $110,000 to $120,000 annually.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, English, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience10+ years of progressive experience in internal, corporate, or employee communicationsExperience advising senior leaders and developing executive communications, including writing on their behalf and influencing without direct authorityDemonstrated experience leading employee communications through significant organizational change, such as rapid growth or integrating new teamsStrong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential informationExperience managing internal communication channels and applying brand voice and visual standards, using tools such as an intranet, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Adobe Creative SuiteStrong project and program management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent prioritiesPreferred QualificationsExperience in an architecture, engineering, or design firmExperience supporting communications in a growing, multi-office organizationFamiliarity with AI-powered communications tools and interest in evaluating emerging technology to improve efficiencyExperience creating recruitment marketing or employer brand contentDid you know that some people hold back on applying to jobs if they don't meet 100% of the listed requirements?
