Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - LPN

Licensed Practical Nurse Correctional Health

Shifts available in the days, afternoons, and evenings.

Contract length: 2652 weeks.

Valid New York State LPN license or limited permit required.

Mandatory BLS certification.

Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required.

Experience in medical-surgical, ambulatory care, or mental health preferred.

Must be able to work with a diverse offender population and remain composed in emergencies.

COVID-19 vaccination required; medical exemptions only.

Administer medications, including controlled substances.

Perform vital signs and basic physical assessments.

Provide wound care and dressings.

Administer IM/SQ injections and manage NG/G-tube feeding.

Care for Foley catheters and provide oxygen administration.

Communicate patient status changes to RN/MD and respond to emergencies.

Must clear state Criminal History Form prior to start (may take up to 4 weeks).
