The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be based upon various factors unique to each individual that may include but are not limited to years of experience, industry knowledge, technical skills, education, qualifications, etc.ResponsibilitiesTool & Die Technician Responsibilities:Responsible for setting up and configuring stamping presses with the appropriate dies and tooling, ensuring proper material feed, and performing quality checks to produce accurate metal components according to production specifications, while maintaining a safe working environment.Perform administrative duties as assigned including completion of work order documentation and data entry into the computerized maintenance systemWork together with, and sometimes, lead the operating crew to minimize downtime and maximize productivityResponsible for deciding how a mechanical repair is to proceed and will perform quality repairs timely and accurately.Work with the production team to constantly improve production and maintenance processes.Perform basic maintenance tasks on the stamping presses, including lubrication, cleaning, and checking for wear and tear.Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and report more complex issues to maintenance supervision.Complete assigned tasks associated with tooling maintenance, die set assembly, and modifications on stamping-related processes; including preventative and predictive maintenance on these systems.QualificationsTool & Die Technician Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalent; 2-year college degree in Machine Shop preferredPrevious experience as a stamping press set-up/operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.Tool & Die Experience working on Progressive Dies is preferred.Experience operating manual conventional lathes, conventional mills, surface grinders, and all related machine shop equipment is required.Knowledge of different types of stamping dies and their applications.Minimum of five years industrial/maintenance machinist experience OR a four-year apprenticeship certification (Machinist or Tool & Die Maker required)Experience in press repair and general equipment breakdown maintenance is preferred but not requiredUnderstanding of Predictive Maintenance and Preventative Maintenance practices is a plusJoining Wieland's team gives you…Benefits - Including Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life & more!Retirement Savings - 401(k) contribution + match.Work/Life Balance - Paid Vacation & Holidays.Growth Opportunities - We have over 8,000+ employees worldwide and 35+ locations in North America alone.
