Clinical Research Coordinator II - Radiation Oncology

Position Summary Assists investigators as coordinator of a complex clinical research study; may be responsible for multiple research studies simultaneously, acting as a liaison with the school, sponsoring agency, community, and the study participants. Responsible for managing and recording all phases of the study protocol as required by the sponsoring agency to ensure compliance. Scheduled Hours 40 hours per week. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Assists in developing plans for research projects and discusses interpretation of results; collaborates in preparation of manuscripts for publications and preparation of grant proposals to sponsoring agencies; assists in preparation of amendments to protocols or modifications to study design as appropriate. Coordinates development of forms, questionnaires, and application of research techniques; assists in writing instruction procedure manuals for study progress, data collection, and coding; reviews journals, abstracts, and scientific literature to stay abreast of new developments and obtain information regarding previous studies. Implements and manages all phases of study/protocol; ensures compliance with protocol guidelines and regulatory agencies; establishes record‑keeping systems; assesses and determines participant progress; analyzes, investigates, and reports adverse events; decides when to notify physicians, stop participant inclusion, or recommend protocol adjustment; resolves protocol management issues and recommends corrective action; serves as liaison with funding or sponsoring agency. Evaluates and interprets collected clinical data; prepares oral or written presentations or reports and analyses setting forth progress trends and providing recommendations or conclusions. Performs other duties as assigned. Working Conditions Patient care setting. Physical Effort Typically sitting at desk or table. Equipment Office equipment. Education Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for the minimum education. Certifications / Professional Licenses Basic Life Support – American Heart Association Basic Life Support – American Red Cross Work Experience Clinical Research: 2 years Skills Clinical Research, Clinical Study Protocols, Database Management, Research Projects, Spreadsheet Analysis, Statistical Analysis Software (SAS) Driver’s License A driver’s license is not required for this position. Qualifications Basic Life Support certification (must be obtained within one month of hire date). Required educational and experience criteria as noted above. Salary $52,600.00 – $78,900.00 annually (Grade C10). Individual rates determined by qualifications, performance, market rates, and department budget.
