Surgical Technologist Hiring Now!

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team! In this role, you will support obstetric surgical procedures, including cesarean sections and emergent interventions, while ensuring a sterile environment and efficient workflow. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment and is committed to providing safe, family-centered care.

Shift: 7PM -7:30AM or 7AM to 7:30PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field for surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons and nurses during obstetric surgeries, primarily cesarean deliveries.
• Only passes instrumentation to the Residents.
• Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are sterilized and functioning properly.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond promptly.
• Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments before, during, and after procedures.
• Work with the Pharmacy
• Support patient care activities under the direction of the RN when not in the operating room.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Triaging
• STAT Testing

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CST is PREFERRED NOT REQUIRED
• MUST have OB experience
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Fire Card/MAB.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a surgical setting, preferably in Labor and Delivery at a Trauma Hospital.
• Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical instrumentation.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Training :

• There is no formal training, you will be oriented when you arrive for the first 4-6 hours.

This is a Contract position based out of Los Angeles, CA.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Los Angeles,CA.
