This is not a residential role. This position is centered around movement, interaction, and real-world engagement. Staff will support individuals in one-on-one or small group settings by planning and leading activities that promote independence, confidence, and enjoyment.We are looking for individuals who bring energy, take initiative, and are comfortable leading. This role is for someone who can walk into a shift with a plan, adjust when needed, and create a positive experience throughout the day.Schedules include daytime hours during the week along with weekend availability. This seasonal role will run through the spring and summer with the potential to extend into the fall.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and facilitate daily activities based on individual interests and abilitiesSupport participation in community-based experiences including walking, jogging, hiking, andoutdoor recreationEngage individuals in sports and activities such as basketball, volleyball, pickleball, and yardgamesPlan and support social outings including dining, coffee trips, and community eventsEncourage independence, communication, and decision-making in real-life settingsAdjust activities in real time based on individual needs, energy, and environmentProvide safe and reliable transportation to and from activitiesComplete required documentation including daily notes and program recordsAttend trainings and meetings as requiredWorking ConditionsThis is an active role requiring consistent movement including walking, standing, and participation in physical activitiesWork will take place in both indoor and outdoor settingsExposure to varying weather conditions should be expectedMay include light lifting and physical engagementStaff may be exposed to general community-based environments and conditionsRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDMust be at least 18 years of ageValid US driver’s license with a minimum of 3 years driving experienceStrong communication, organization, and time management skillsAbility to work independently and take initiativeMust be able to pass CORI, Drug Test, and Driving Record CheckMust be able to obtain First Aid, CPR, Human Rights, Safety Care, and MAP certifications within 30 days of employmentPreferred QualificationsExperience in human services, recreation, coaching, or community programmingBackground in sports, fitness, or active environmentsExperience working with diverse populationsSalary: $20.00 per hour.Benefits: BCL offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, tuition, and 401k and life insurance options for all eligible employees.Employment decisions will be based on the principles of equal opportunity.
