This is a fully on-site, temp to hire position. In this role, you are responsible for administering and supporting a wide range of human resources and payroll functions. This hands-on role serves as a key resource for employees and leadership regarding payroll, benefits, employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, compliance, and personnel records management. We are looking for someone who has at least 5 years of HR experience, manufacturing experience and true hands on experience.ResponsibilitiesProcess bi-weekly payroll and maintain payroll recordsManage timekeeping systems and resolve payroll or attendance discrepanciesTrack paid time off (PTO) and employee leave balancesMaintain HRIS data, personnel files, and employee recordsAdminister employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, leave programs, and open enrollmentCoordinate benefit renewals and assist with benefits auditsServe as a liaison with benefit providers, payroll vendors, and external partnersSupport recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, hiring, and onboardingManage employee onboarding and offboarding activitiesComplete new hire paperwork and employment verification documentationEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policiesHandle employee relations matters, investigations, policy interpretation, and disciplinary documentationAdvise managers and supervisors on HR policies, employee relations issues, and best practicesCoordinate performance management and annual review processesSupport compensation administration, including wage analysis and pay adjustmentsAssist with personnel budgeting and labor-related reportingPrepare reports related to payroll, benefits, turnover, headcount, attendance, and other HR metricsCoordinate unemployment claims, garnishments, and required government reportingAdminister employee training and development programsManage relationships with temporary staffing agencies and contingent workforce providersConduct exit interviews and monitor turnover trendsSupport workforce planning, succession planning, and employee development initiativesCoordinate employee engagement, recognition, wellness, and communication programsMaintain confidentiality of employee and business informationProvide day-to-day support to employees regarding payroll, benefits, policies, and workplace concernsPerform additional administrative and operational duties as neededQualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferredAt least 5 years of HR and payroll experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environmentKnowledge of payroll processing, benefits administration, employment laws, and HR compliance requirementsExperience with HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping systemsStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsHigh level of discretion and confidentialityProficiency in Microsoft Office, especially ExcelKnowledge of FMLA, ADA, COBRA, wage and hour regulations, and other employment compliance requirementsExperience handling employee relations issues, workplace investigations, and performance management processes
