Location Detail 9 Farm Springs Rd Farmington (10566) Shift Detail Sunday - Thursday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (hours negotiable) Financial Clearance Representative Position Summary HHC completes a systematic review of scheduled appointments to ensure all required elements are secured for financial reimbursement. The role strengthens the financial relationship with consumers by providing pricing transparency and assisting them in understanding, navigating, and fulfilling their responsibilities before service. It promotes HHC’s mission to respond to community and patient needs. Position Responsibilities Validate accuracy of payer information and document payer source data. Compile financial data to verify client fee source/method of payment for timely reimbursement. Prepare and communicate price estimates and uninsured/out‑of‑pocket expenses, including co‑pays, deductibles, and co‑insurance to consumers. Initiate insurance verification for all payers. Contact insurance companies to investigate coverage and obtain pre‑authorization/authorization for emergent admissions and scheduled services within scope. Document detailed authorization information to support payer follow‑up and denial dispute. Build positive relationships across the continuum, supporting coordinated care and timely communication with internal and external partners. Collaborate with transitional care staff, clinical colleagues, medical offices, and business partners. Adhere to confidentiality, HIPAA, and state/federal regulations; ensure compliance with regulatory and agency policies and procedures. Ability to deliver high‑quality output in a production environment. Ability to sit for 90% of the day. Qualifications Education : High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
