Apartment Maintenance Technician - Battle Creek Join Bender Companies as an Apartment Maintenance Technician in Battle Creek. This full‑time role pays $22-24 per hour and involves working Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with an on‑call after‑hours schedule. Core Responsibilities Inspect the property regularly to identify and fix maintenance issues proactively. Respond to resident service requests and work orders promptly and professionally. Maintain grounds by removing trash and debris from common areas. Support unit turnovers and make‑ready tasks, including painting, repairs, and cleaning. Assist with preventative maintenance to extend system and equipment life. Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and company policies. Deliver notices and communications to residents as directed by management. Participate in after‑hours on‑call schedule for emergencies. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience in apartment maintenance, facilities, or residential construction. Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance maintenance. Good communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors, and team members. Ability to work independently, follow directions, and prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment. Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds. Reliable transportation to commute to the property.
