Packer Inspector

Position Shift: Morning Pay Rate: $23.95 Schedule: 5 AM to 3 PM; Monday - Friday Position Overview The Inspector/Packer is responsible for inspecting and packing bags to safely deliver the highest quality products at the best efficiency and lowest scrap possible using effective manufacturing methods. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Follow all Key Operating Procedures, including company and facility policies, safety rules (LTCT, proper PPE), quality specifications (PQCT, bag specifications, testing frequencies and procedures), SOPs and methods for performing work, SSOP/Good Housekeeping standards, Good Manufacturing Practices, Food/Safety Security, HACCP. Food Regulatory and Customer Specifications. Responsible for scrap, efficiency, and product quality. Ensure box and tote counts are accurate per bag specification. Learn to pack all bag specifications at all machines. Assist and work closely with Quality, Maintenance, and technical resources to address issues and optimize line performance. Provide feedback and suggestions for improvements. Communicate positively and respectfully to resolve all issues. Complete all documentation accurately. Experience in manufacturing preferred. Ability to read measuring tapes and product specifications with mechanical aptitude. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Experience using pallet jacks and machine hoists is a plus. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office applications). Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
