Referral Coordinator

Position Overview The Referral Coordinator manages the referral process for patients that require specialized care, utilizing a strong understanding of insurance requirements. The Referral Coordinator works with providers and staff within outpatient clinics to ensure proper documentation and requirements have been met to obtain authorization, maintains open communication with patients and family about the referral process, document all completed and pending tasks in EMR, and closes the loop of each referral in a timely manner.

Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program or healthcare experience, including but not limited to collection of patient information, data, and patient interactions in a medical office or hospital setting.
