Groundskeeper / Equipment Operator - Seasonal

Canadian Base Operators' Southport team is expanding - and we're looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining high-quality spaces. As a proud partner of Kelowna Aerospace Defence Programs, we support the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) with essential services. In this role, you'll play a key part in keeping airfield facility grounds safe, functional and looking great during the winter months. This full-time seasonal term position runs through the winter months from mid-October to mid-April. What You'll Do Safely operate a range of equipment, machinery, and hand tools Maintain spaces across airside areas, remote sites, and buildings Support contractors with equipment operation as needed Roll and dye mark helicopter landing/training sites Maintain and repair fences and gates Assist with runway condition reporting and SNIC (snow & ice control) activities Perform snow and ice removal on runways, sidewalks, and parking areas Help keep workspaces, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized Work collaboratively with other teams and departments Complete timesheets and work orders accurately and on time What You Bring Required: High School Diploma or equivalent Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence 1-3 years of physically active work experience (lifting, shovelling, outdoor labour, etc.) A strong work ethic and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Nice to Have (but not required-we'll train you!)
