Explain the behavior intervention process to parents and school staff.3. Collaborate, on an as needed basis, with teachers to provide support in the implementation of behavioral strategies within the classroom and school setting.4. Assist teachers with the planning and implementing FBAs/BIPsCompletion of an FBA by obtaining pertinent behavioral information from multiple sources, including but not limited to, standardized instruments, checklists, records, discussion, interviews, detailed interviews with teachers, direct observations to help determine what has been maintaining the inappropriate behaviorHow to use the FBA to design/revise an empirically-based BIP that includes behavior management strategies, de-escalating techniques, and crisis response plansIdentify effective techniques of behavior management, identify therapeutic needs of student, and provide crisis intervention as neededModel for teachers/parents behavior management strategies, de-escalating techniques, and crisis responseHow to collect, analyze, and interpret behavioral data for successful outcomesList of helpful teacher resources for FBAs and BIPs5. Conduct Manifestation Determination Review as necessary.6. Analyze, interpret, and explain the results of the FBA's and/or MDR's to parents and school staff.7. Assist in the development of the IEP in order to link the FBA to the development of behavioral/social goals and BIP's in the IEP.8. Provide short-term individual or group interventions for those students whose school social/behavior difficulties would benefit from such services9. Consult and collaborate with personnel of community health and social service agencies10. Complete discipline/homebound reevaluations as needed.11. Maintain accurate case reports, collaboration documentation, and contact log with teachers for referred students12. Complete Professional Growth Plan and Self-Evaluation13. Complete all required reports of the parish and/or LDOE14. Maintain professional development by reading current research in behavioral management and/or behavioral disorders (this need updating)15.
