About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Development to serve as its chief fundraising officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and executing a comprehensive philanthropic strategy that supports the organization's mission to advance science, innovation, and STEM education. This role involves building and nurturing relationships with a diverse range of donors, including corporate, foundation, and individual supporters, and ensuring that fundraising efforts are in line with the company's strategic priorities. The VP of Development will work closely with the President, CEO, and other senior leaders to drive donor engagement, secure major and principal gifts, and expand the company's philanthropic partnerships. Applicants must have a minimum of 15 years' experience in advancement or fundraising, with a proven track record of securing significant financial support. The role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to align fundraising with programmatic goals, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a strong understanding of philanthropic trends in the science, education, and innovation sectors. The ideal candidate will be a nimble and entrepreneurial leader, capable of managing a high-performing development team and fostering a culture of philanthropy within the organization. Experience in global philanthropy, international partnerships, and a background in mission-driven organizations with a focus on science, technology, and innovation is preferred.
