Starry Dental is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our clinical team. This role is essential to providing high-quality dental care and ensuring a seamless experience for our patients. You will work closely with our dentists to provide chair-side assistance, maintain a sterile environment, and support patients throughout their clinical journey.

Requirements

Education: Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting program.
Certification: Current state-required dental assisting certifications and a valid Radiation Safety Certificate.
Life Safety: Active BLS/CPR certification.
Skills: Strong manual dexterity and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Professionalism: Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Competency: Ability to follow detailed clinical instructions and maintain strict patient confidentiality.

Job Description

Chair-side Assistance: Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, including restorative, preventative, and surgical services.
Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for treatment, ensuring they are comfortable and informed about the procedures being performed.
Sterilization & Safety: Clean and sterilize dental instruments and operatories in strict accordance with OSHA and infection control protocols.
Radiography: Safely and accurately take dental X-rays as directed by the dentist.
Clinical Records: Document patient treatments and findings accurately within the electronic health record system.
Lab Work: Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring impressions and creating dental models.
Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all dental equipment is functional, clean, and well-maintained for daily use.
